Did Fried Food and Gluten Cause My Tinnitus? The Gut Brain Connection

This isn’t a researched article, this is one person reporting her story; but it would be a great area to research into for anyone with a scientific backing.

I’ve been off gluten for over a year (along with eggs, all nuts besides pecans, processed foods and a handful of other foods that I cycle through). My stomach had been doing really well for a while, so I decided it was time to dive back in and try gluten again. And I was mostly ok for a couple days, I did have a slight tightening of my throat as I was eating (I used to choke daily, but am down to about monthly now), but was ok. I ate a deep fried crab rangoon, it was delicious, but I could feel my throat tightening by the first one. I ate a few, had a mild stomach ache, and went home.

I was in the bathtub and it was quite, my ears rang like they hadn’t in a while. I’d had a case of tinnitus that had somewhere along the way on my health journey over the last year, faded away, but it was back. I don’t think the timing on this was a coincidence, but experiment for yourself. If you have tinnitus, try cutting out all gluten and friend foods, yes, it is hard, but isn’t your health more important?
