Drunk Me VS Sober Me

Technically, I'm not sober. I did go through 6 months of having absolutely no alcohol after I felt I'd nearly gotten out of control with my drinking, but when I drink, which is rarely, I drink like an alcoholic.

I don't like alcohol. There's only 2 or 3 drinks I can actually say that I like and I like them how I like sodas. They taste alright, but I know how bad they are for my health. Alcohol is erosive for your stomach, liver, kidneys, and my digestive track is not happy about my consumption of it. Just like I won't eat eggs because they make me sick, I rarely drink alcohol for that same reason.

I do somewhat enjoy the feeling of being drunk. I'm currently on my first cruise and went to a dance party that was past my normal bedtime. No, I didn't buy the drink package. I did however have an amazing time, danced til midnight and then returned to our room without an extra person or two.

I was tempted by the allure of greasy pizza wafting my way, I thought about staying out for the next dance that started at midnight, and if I had been drinking I definitely would have been doing more contact dancing and dry humping than the me too movement would have wanted me to.

However, I left my first silent disco having had an amazing time, but kept a few boundaries which alcoholic's lines blur. The more I'm on the cruise the more drunk people I encounter. Like the drunk at formal dinner girl who couldn't control her volume or how much she was cursing. It was a little sad, embarrassing, and reflective for me to…
