When we went through the mandatory swimming classes of middle and high school, I felt like those were the only time I had asthma. My mom had taken me to the doctor and I had an inhaler, but years later when Ifinally took a breathing analysis test, I didn’t have asthma. I was borderline asthmatic, but I didn’t have asthma. I’ve never, knock on wood, had an asthma attack. But when I would hit those cold overly chlorinated waters of the Olympic sized swimming pool, I felt the closest to having asthma that I’ve ever felt.
