Lost Faces

I frequently find myself nodding along in conversations with complete strangers who are convinced they know me…well, they do say my name, so I guess they might know me, but I have no idea who they are. Eventually I’ll find a lull in the conversation and say something like: remind me of your name or remind me how we know each other. I think the worst time was when the conversation went on 45 minutes and I thought I knew the person, but I couldn’t pull their name. I did know them, we’d hung out before even, but it had been some years.
