Moonstrive Media Spotify Promotion

Here’s my take on using a playlist pay for promotion service. I learned about the company through Passive Promotion’s blog post, Color Theory is an amazing writer and musician if you care to dive down an epic informational hole for music promotion. I’ll even include his promo code here if you’d like a percentage off trying Moonstrive for yourself.

I choose to promote my new Christmas single Christmas Dance. It was obvious to me that their playlists had many active streamers and within the first 4 days I hit 1,000 streams. I paid $94 for the promotion (Using the above promo code) and was doing the math thinking that might come close to paying off. It didn’t quite, but it was many more plays than I’ve gotten on a song within that short of a time frame and do have hope for continuing plays in the future.

At the end of the 4 week promotion period, I had nearly 5,000 streams, which compared to other Spotify playlist promotional services, I’ve heard is pretty good. But let me break the 5,000 streams down a little bit more.

I am a part of two stream teams, DIRTY GAIN and Dope VIBES! In a stream team, emerging artists play the playlist a set number of times per week and share screenshots of their playing in exchange for placement on the playlist.
