My 200th Published Post on Medium

April 29th 2023 marks my 100th post on Medium. Exactly 8 months later, 100 more posts have been added to my published page. The 2nd 100 went much faster than the first 100, I started posting here first around January 2021 and it took 28 months to reach those first 100 posts.

It did help that I had a few old blog posts that I imported, but that was probably only around 10. What really upped my output was writing 52,000 words during NaNoWriMo, most of which are headed here, and prioritizing writing something new and editing and publishing at least 1 article here every day. After NaNo was over, I used the steam, and huge backlog of words I’d written and started shaping them for publication here.

Yes, I do have 79 drafts pasted into medium waiting to be edited and another 21,000 waiting to be formed into drafts. I’ve chosen to not be overwhelmed by those numbers, after first being incredibly overwhelmed by writing something new every day and realizing it too was going into the ever growing to be edited pile. I’ve made the calming decision that it’s good to have too many things to write about, edit, and publish instead of scraping the dry well longing for ideas. I’ll happily be buried under my word count as this blog to book project swells and swells.

This last month, December of 2023, has felt like a whirlwind of wins. I’ve published daily for this month, had my first story near 1,000 claps, and have had some surprisingly descent income come in. Let me caveat that, when compared to other months on medium…
