My First Facial at The G Spot Aesthetics and Wellness
I’ve never had a facial, until now. You can be the judge of if it “did” anything or not. I’m leaning on the side of not, but here goes my experience. I’ll start this off with prefacing it by saying my dad thinks massages are a waste of time and money and I think the exact opposite. Give me a massage any day of the week.
I signed up for a facial because I’m staying at Zen Den Yoga School and it was included in my 5 day retreat package. I highly recommend coming here by the way. It was either a facial or an acupuncture appointment, which I’m not trying to have unless I have a problem I’d like acupuncture to treat.
Anyways, I go to The G Spot Aesthetics and Wellness, here in Boca Raton and am lead back to a room that looks like I could be getting a massage in. She says I can make myself comfortable on the table and get under the blanket if I’d like. I’m so used to massages I had to ask, do I need to get naked? The answer is no. Thank you to my esthetician (not sure if this is the right word) who said no to the first time facial person who didn’t even google the word before showing up. Do note, if you’ve been in the sand it might be nice to shower before going, maybe even brush your teeth.
The technician (that seems like a better word) applied 12 different lotions/washes/things to my face over the period of an hour. One was a face mask. While the mask was on she lightly massaged my arms, hands, and scalp while the mask dried. There were several warm towels to the face along with a steamer. She also took a hook to some of my acne and blackheads…
