Nearly a Lie But Merely a Secret

After publishing my last post here I had the exact kind of serendipitous run in that lies are made from. My partner, Bryan, loves secret Christmas presents, today was the perfect opportunity to go buy one for him because he was occupied. I left without telling him where I went, I won’t tell you either in case he’s reading this, bought a gift that I hope he will like, then decided to stop next door. The store next door was similar to one I liked in another town (still being intentionally vague there’s a secret Christmas present identity to protect) but was for non-profits and people in need, not open to the public for shopping. I stopped in and ran into an old high school classmate who told me they could take my extra books as donations after a brief conversation.

Bryan and I are co-owners for www.redfeatherbooks.com we gladly accept books by donation but there comes a point where there are 16 boxes of books in your small living room that you can’t sell, tables and shelves set up for the next time it is warm enough in Kentucky for a yard sale (let’s say that day might be April and it is December now), stacked amidst the yard sale books for sale 25 more boxes you’d like to have at the sale, 90 boxes at offsite storage, and 30 boxes of books to list. Needless to say we have plenty books but always gladly accept more by donation, one never knows what might be donated or when a new favorite…
