Stay Well (Don’t Catch the Cold That’s Going Around)
I tend to pick up any type of sickness that’s going around and with fall coming, I know cold (and maybe covid) season is just around the corner.
Here’s my list of how to stay well:
Look for first signs of infection which can include feeling tired or run down, sore throat or just a tickle, headache, swollen lymph nodes, stiffness, or sneezing then treat quickly with one or more of the following methods:
Vitamin C
A virus can’t live in a vitamin c solution, making your body a vitamin c solution is either a lot of work (taking just enough c that it keeps your well, but doesn’t cause adverse side effects) or taking a slow release capsule. But vitamin c doesn’t work if the sickness isn’t a virus…like a cold.
Immune Pills
Sometimes if I catch a sickness early enough and aggressively treat with 2 of these pills three times a day and I can push the sickness away, but not always. They do have an added positive side effect of calming my stomach when it’s upset, and I’m all about that. But I am not great at taking pills so I like to have some other methods up my sleeve like…
Immuni-Tea
Echinacea is my herb of choice in the form of Stay Well Tea. Here are a couple other of my favorites from Yogi Tea and Traditional Medicines.
