What Does Your Dog Learn at Pet Smart Training Classes? Level: Intermediate

Week 1: Sit stay and Around (go around my body in preparation for heel)

Week 2: Down stay, about turn (in preparation for heel), and homework of walk for three steps, watch me for three steps, and back and forth.

Week 3: Place (going to a dog bed, mat, or tolw)

Week 4: Place stay. Practicing down stay and sit stays as groups. Greeting strangers without barking, jumping, or biting.

Week 5: Practicing graduation.

Week 6: Graduation.

Overall I don’t feel like I got as much out of this class, but I also wasn’t able to put as much in. I was sick, we got a new puppy who took a lot of attention away from Lady, the list goes on. I didn’t practice as much, but I was amazed at how close to healing Lady was at the end of her class leaning. Now if only she could take that to the street instead of leaving her learning in the class!
