Who Knew Dry Eyes Could Rob You of Your Sight?

I didn’t. After spending around 3 hours in and out of the chlorinated pool, a milky haze began to descend upon my vision. I thought it was a trick of the light or something that would go away, but as I continued to push myself in my underwater modeling endeavors, my vision began to get more and more milky and blurry.

I found myself later walking down the street to Walgreens, buying a bottle of eye drops, then putting them in before I left the store. I left with my eyes streaming their fake new tears and when I got home, caught a sight of my hair in that frazzled state out of the pool with nothing done to it. It’s been a few hours, I’ve napped, but my left eye is still painful and vision cloudy.

My skin and lips yelp, asking for more moisturizer, but dealing with dry eyes is a new sensation for me and learning to read what my eyes want a learning curve. Tomorrow seems like a great day to not get in the pool again and even the day after.

Thankfully in the morning my natural wetness restored my vision, but I feel like I’ve learned an important less about open eyes in the chlorinated water.
