These may sound like some of your New Year’s resolutions, some were mine. All of these and more happened to me this year because I owned Lady Belle my salt and pepper miniature schnauzer.

I’ve been a cat person for 25 years. My parents had a two year old miniature schnauzer when I was born and he never liked me. I replaced him in the family as only child and he kept looking at guests who would come to visit the new baby like: please take her home with you. He’d let me pet, but as all small children do, he hated when I’d try to dress him up, or love him too much. Around the age of 4 my first cat wondered into our lives. We lived in the country and I had a stream of friendly strays or dumped cats my entire childhood, I had 15 outdoor cats at one point in time (mom says it was 21) that I loved and adored.
